Basically faces are an under rated band who deserve the recognition that this box set shows. Only played side one of first step so far but i hear warm flat transfer no compression or other concessions to the current marketplace. Every album they put out is incredible and all are necessary albums for classic rock fans. I got the vinyl set last year having previously owned various issues of all the albums on cd.

If you enjoy this also pick up the faces even better box set of live songs and rarities called five guys walk into a bar which may be the best box set ever created. I can t imagine anything sounding better to my ears. The 62 page booklet explaining their history also includes comments from others in the music industry. This box set is actually a labor of love from their keyboard player ian mclagan who now lives in austin texas.

Beautifully presented and sounds great. This collection of all of their albums is a stunningly superb box set.
