In theory many solar pumps can be powered directly from the right voltage solar panel array.
Solar panel current booster.
In the morning with a linear current booster the solar panel voltage is not tied to the motor.
When the panel can produce 3 amps of current the motor will start to turn and pumping will start at whatever voltage speed the panel can support the 3 amps of current or above.
1 x 1 2 volt battery at least 1 5 volt solar cell in full sun.
It is designed to increase the voltage of a standard pv panel 17 35v to match the levels required for use with borehole pumps.
2 x 1 2 volt batteries at least 3 volt solar cell in full sun.
A 75 increase in power is the equivalent of a 35w solar panel which would cost about 140 00 that s a saving of 60 00.
So batteries and the circuit dictate the solar cell size there are some of these lights with pr sensors that use a 3 7 volt battery and a solar cell of 4 5 volts.
However in reality without the linear current booster the pumps works significantly less through out the day.
Or a cost.
I am using 150 watt solar panel with 60ah deep cycle battery with 1 5 kw inverter with surge power 3 0kw i want to increase the charging rate so am thinking maybe i use current booster to increase the solar panel amps by connecting the current booster to the solar panel then the output of the current booster to the solar charger controller which will now increase the output amps to 18am.
The microcare solar voltage booster is an electronic device which is mounted onto the back of a photovoltaic pv solar panel to interface with and boost the voltage of the solar pv panel.
The lcb increases the current to get the pump s motor moving at the sacrifice of voltage when your panels are not getting full direct.
One of those fun days messing around with a solar panel supercapacitors and a buck boost converter.
Currently solar panels cost around 4 00 per watt so that makes a 20w panel about 80 00.
This method probably won t work if you have solar panels mounted on your roof for obvious reasons.
